Dear Parents,
I know that at this unprecedented time, many of you have questions as to what we are doing here at Holy Cross to meet not only the academic and social/emotional needs of your preschool aged child, but also to keep our school as safe an environment as possible for your family and our staff. While school looks a little different from how it has looked in the past, I can assure you that all of the staff, here at Holy Cross, has been working hard to create as welcome, fun and educational an environment as possible for all of our students. The warmth, care, and support that Holy Cross has always been known for has stayed exactly the same! J
Below, I have answered some of our most frequently asked questions.
- What are we doing, here at Holy Cross, to ensure that we are keeping our school clean and safe for the children and staff? Every aspect and every decision that has been made has been thoroughly evaluated and made with the health and safety of staff and students in mind (within the guidelines of the CDC, the DOH and The Office of Licensing for the State of New Jersey). We remain vigilant about following any guidance modifications from the state, as well as any changes to the health and safety needs of our community and adjust our plans when and if it becomes necessary. Please be assured that our staff is diligent about keeping our school clean, and we do everything in our power to limit the spread of any and all viruses and illnesses. Our classrooms, playground, toys and frequently touched surfaces are cleaned and disinfected numerous times throughout the day. The staff and children’s hands are washed numerous times throughout the day. We encourage the children to wear their masks (especially when they will be in close proximity with other children). Last, but certainly not least, we remind our parents to please keep their child home at the slightest sign of illness.
- What will Holy Cross do if the Toms River Schools Close? If the Toms River Schools find it necessary to close, we make a decision as to what will be best for our school.
- What will Holy Cross do in the event of National or State Government mandates? We will follow them when appropriate and will notify parents of these changes, as soon as possible, when they are made known to us.
If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
Thank you!
